With decades of experience on television screen and airwaves, Julie took a break from acting in 2016. During her sabbatical she has co-written and released four alternative rock albums (lead vocals and harmony), researched and published a non-fiction book (The Missing Piece, HarperCollins, 2024), renovated several houses and embraced rural homesteading.
Having trained in the Meisner technique under Michael Saccente, she has worked on an array of projects from voicing Sky's Food TV & Living Channels, to appearing in The Man Who Lost His Head (ITV/South Pacific Pictures), the Jacqui Brown Diaries, Power Rangers, and 'The Politically Incorrect Guide to Teenagers & Grown-ups along with numerous TVCs including three years as the 'face' of GIB. A published special interest writer for magazines (food and DIY), photographer, podcast host, prolific blogger and genealogist, Julie continues to pursue her myriad of creative endeavours.
