Self-described as “fun-loving, warm, chatty and a dork,” content creator Jono Trenberth says that helping others, having meaningful conversations and being able to have a good laugh at yourself are the most important things to him in life.

Jono is a South Island lad, raised in Christchurch with his brother and two sisters, in his “very close, but very loud” family. With a growing army of nieces and nephews dominating his Instagram highlights, it’s clear Jono is a super-involved and fun uncle, indulging his own inner-child via fun activities with the kids most weekends.

Naturally outgoing and curious about people, Jono is more than suited to his career in digital marketing and event management, having worked at prominent advertising firms over the last decade.

He manages social media campaigns, does copy writing and art direction for various clients; and enjoys acting and modelling on the side as another outlet for his abundant creativity.

Jono first gained a solid social media presence after appearances on The Amazing Race Australia and Married at First Sight NZ, experiences he describes as “absolutely wild!”

One outstanding achievement Jono has kept largely under his hat, is that he was a recipient of a Mayor’s Award for Heroism after the 2012 Christchurch Earthquake, recognised as one of the citizens who undertook incredible acts of generosity following the city’s earthquakes.

Many of Jono’s outstanding life moments happened on his overseas travels in his early 20s. He travelled through Europe, Asia and America for over six years, working with young people as an Adventure leader and Outdoor Educator - which explains where he gets his own special brand of contagious enthusiasm and high energy from.

Well known for his immaculately trimmed ginger beard, Jono is a known Sartorialist; add stylist to his resume too - Jono specialises in menswear and works casually for local photographers, styling for photoshoots. A man of many interests, Jono is a skilled body artist and performer. And you’ll find him at the gym dancing at Body jam every Wednesday night.

In his spare time, you will find Jono’s life revolves around what he is eating - he loves all things food; considers himself quite the chef, and loves to cook meals for his friends and whanau.

A mental health advocate for both himself and for others, Jono uses his platform to connect with followers who have reached out to him for help. He also volunteers with Camp Quality, as a companion for kids living with cancer.

Jono creates content that is fun, upbeat, and full of humour, which is always eagerly viewed by his ever-increasing number of followers on Tik Tok and Instagram.
