Chylo Flavell

Chylo Flavell is a multi-hyphenate creative, director, and storyteller based in Auckland, with whakapapa to Tūwharetoa and Te Arawa. Originally coming from a background in high-level sport, Chylo brings the discipline and drive of that world into every project - whether it’s directing a commercial campaign, creating content for brands, or running community-led initiatives.

He is the founder of NHOstudios, a content and video production company that has worked with brands like ASICS, Lululemon, and the Ministry of Health. Through Moko Consultancy, he also leads projects focused on Māori business development, AI education, and storytelling through a cultural lens.

His passion lies in using content to uplift others, whether that’s supporting rangatahi to explore creative industries, helping business owners unlock digital tools and strategies, or documenting stories that connect businesses to their consumers.

Whether he’s in front of the camera or helping shape the story behind it, Chylo’s strength lies in his ability to connect with people, with purpose, and with the bigger picture.
