Hailing from Invercargill, Jim Cawthorn is a voice artist and announcer for The Rock FM, hosting The Rock Workdays from 12pm - 3pm.
Jim's extensive media experience from his radio work, to acting, to MCing quiz nights and events. Being a professional voice artist, Jim is accomplished at a variety of accents including, Irish, Scottish and Australian.
His love for theatre production is clear, and he has featured in many shows - recently appearing in ‘The Good, the Bad and the Meeting’ at the Auckland Fringe Festival.
As an avid charity supporter, he was recently in a charitable competition on The Rock, where promised to shave his luscious beard if $5000 was raised towards Shave for a Cure - supporting Leukaemia and blood cancer awareness. They were able to raise a whopping $13,000 - followed by a close shave for Jim!
